How does Solarsearch work?

You start with your address. A technician attends and assesses the roof, switchboard and existing system, which produces one design. Up to three vetted, accredited installers then quote against that same design, so the prices are genuinely comparable. You choose the installer you prefer.

Is it free, and will I get cold calls?

The assessment and the comparison are free to the homeowner. Your details are shared only with the installers quoting your job, and only after you ask for quotes. Solarsearch does not sell contact details for cold calling.

Why compare quotes on the same design?

Most solar quotes are not comparable because each company proposes a different system size, different equipment and different assumptions about the switchboard and cable run. When every installer prices the same assessed design, the difference between quotes is the price and the installer, not the specification.

What evidence do I get that the install was done properly?

Each stage of the installation is photographed against a fixed protocol and checked before the next begins, so the work that gets covered up is documented while it is still visible. You receive that record along with your electrical certificate.
